## The honest read

West End Junk hauls away what people no longer want, from a single item to a full property clean out. The company says it is located in West Hartford, CT and serves homes, businesses and contractors across Connecticut, and it says it has been in business 15 years.

One customer called around, found the prices extremely high, then called West End Junk and spoke with Larry, who stopped by to give an estimate; that customer said the backyard looks like new again. A customer on a short deadline said the job got done the same day. On Thumbtack, a customer described fair and reasonable pricing for the removal of an upright piano. A customer said there was no problem getting items from the first floor, second floor and basement, and that they were cautious of newly painted walls and doors. A garage clean-out went quickly, according to a Google customer.

A 2026 customer said Larry and his crew removed everything from old tires to a buried swing set, and called the price more than fair. A 2026 customer said the West End Junk team arrived within a few hours of the call and moved a big treadmill out of the basement. A 2026 customer said the crew came the day after first contact and moved a heavy washer/dryer unit down a flight of stairs and onto their truck. A 2026 customer said West End Junk handled a commercial construction site cleanup and hauled away all the trash and junk.

One Angi customer said they arrived a little late but kept the customer informed, and the final charge came in a bit over the initial quote, after a couple of items were added that were not on the original list.

**Strengths:**
- Same-day job — a customer on a short deadline got it done same day
- Upright piano removal — a customer called the pricing fair and reasonable
- A multi-floor clean-out — items taken from two floors and the basement
- A buried swing set — a 2026 customer said Larry and his crew removed it

**Concerns:**
- Final bill — came in a bit over the quote after items were added
