Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #103742, is active on the state registry. In a 2025 review, a customer said the firm remodeled the kitchen and all three bathrooms in their primitive Colonial reproduction home; Claudette went with them to select countertops, cabinets, tile and fixtures, and Andy coordinated the construction team and kept the project on schedule. In a 2024 review, a customer said Claudette, Andy and their team handled two major bathroom renovations for their mother, managing everything from permits and demolition to plumbing and electrical. In a 2021 review, a customer said Westborough Design did a full kitchen and powder room renovation, a total gut job with some layout changes, completed in about 8 weeks. In a 2016 review, a customer said their kitchen was gutted to the studs and completed in 7 weeks; the initial budget was in the $70K range and the final tally came in closer to $85K after major design and structural changes. In a 2015 review, a customer said a major first-floor renovation included installing concrete posts to prop up sagging flooring, and that the firm later ripped out carpeting in five second-floor rooms and the stairs and refinished the wood underneath. A 2024 Cottage Journal feature quotes Mary saying the building team took down interior walls that chopped up the floor plan. In a 2017 review, a customer said the work finished on time and was quality work, but that they were expensive. **Strengths:** - Full design-build — design through construction, per a 2025 review - Gut kitchen remodels — finished in about 8 weeks, per a 2021 review - Bathroom renovations — permits through plumbing and electrical, per a 2024 review **Concerns:** - Pricing — a 2017 review called them expensive - Budget growth — a 2016 review says $70K range became closer to $85K ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - The company says it has been family owned since 1988 _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](http://www.westboroughdesigncenter.com) — “About (self-reported, verbatim): Family owned since 1988, Westborough Design Center delivers personal design and build services, customized …” - Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration #103742 is active on the state registry _(confidence: high)_ - [State License Registry](https://contractorhub.mass.gov/s/hic-contractor-search) — “MA hic license 103742 registry-verified active — registry holder of record: WESTBOROUGH DESIGN CENTER, INC.” - In a 2025 review, a customer said the firm remodeled their kitchen and all three bathrooms _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2tKaFRrcDROVnBrU0dvNFEzSnJiak56TkdoQmJsRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x532e86e048c20a71!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOkJhTkp4NVpkSGo4Q3JrbjNzNGhBblE%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ We recently completed a major home renovation with Westborough Design Center, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the results.
