## The honest read

White Oak Tree & Landscaping removes, trims and prunes trees and does yard work, and the company says it has 35 years in business. Its website lists a service area that includes Madison, Branford, Clinton, Guilford and New Haven.

A recent customer had a massive dead tree looming over their driveway after a severe storm, and said the company responded quickly and removed it without disturbing the surrounding landscaping. When heavy winds brought down a huge branch across a yard in Clinton, a recent customer said White Oak was there faster than expected and cleared the debris. A recent customer said the company took down a massive oak near the roof without a single scratch to the house. A recent customer in Branford had new seamless gutters installed and described the estimate as clear.

In 2026, a customer said a tree removal near their cottage took a little longer than anticipated, yet the owner held to his original quote.

In 2024, a customer said the company took a deposit, then did not show at least 5 times over a one-month period, and that the promised refund had not arrived. A 2024 customer said they tried to have mistakes fixed and got excuses, then no response.

**Strengths:**
- Storm branch cleanup — a recent customer said they arrived faster than expected
- Oak removal near roof — a recent customer said no scratch to the house
- A held quote — a 2026 customer said the owner kept his original price

**Concerns:**
- Deposit and no-shows — a 2024 customer said a promised refund had not arrived
- Fixing mistakes — a 2024 customer said requests met excuses, then no response
