A recent customer first hired Fred and his sons to power wash the house on a $199 spring special, then had him paint an exterior sunken entrance, and said he handled the lead paint with care. A recent customer said Fred and his sons painted a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room at a rental property, and called his pricing very fair. A 2026 customer said Fred and his sons painted the house and deck, made some repairs and did the entire job in about a week. That customer said he suggested painting the gutters to match the trim color. A 2026 customer said they power washed the exterior and cleaned the rain gutters of the house, and arrived on time. A 2026 customer who said they had known Fred Wildman for almost 20 years wrote that he has painted interiors, exteriors and decking. A 2026 customer said Wildman & Son did interior jobs at two commercial stores in Southbury while the stores were open. A 2023 customer said they came right out to look at a condo and give a price, and fit the work to a timeline while the customer was away. A 2021 customer said they had a verbal agreement on a start date by the second week of November, and that Mr Wildman came by the week before without the contract they had asked for. In 2021, that customer said he then called to say he couldn't do the job until after the holidays because he had a bigger job, and that they lost 6 weeks waiting. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0657659, as active, held by WILDMAN PAINTING. **Strengths:** - A 2-day finish — a recent customer said Fred and his sons finished the whole house - Lead paint care — a recent customer said he handled the lead paint carefully - Fair pricing — a recent customer called his pricing very fair - A power wash — a 2026 customer said they washed the exterior and cleaned gutters **Concerns:** - A delayed start — a 2021 customer said the job was pushed past the holidays - A contract request — a 2021 customer said he came by without the contract ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - A recent customer said Fred and his sons finished the whole house in 2 days and answered all of their questions _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2xSTFRURm9TR3hzVFZoM1FXTkVXVEp5UVVKdE9FRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x365c89a1a7c1a121!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOlRLTTFoSGxsTVh3QWNEWTJyQUJtOEE%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ Fred and his sons were fantastic, finished the whole house in 2 days, answered all of our questions and the job came out looking perfect,…” - A recent customer said he handled lead paint with care when painting an exterior sunken entrance _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT21sTGVuQkJkR3c1WkVkeE1HNXVMVmczZFhCd1puYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x365c89a1a7c1a121!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOmlLenBBdGw5ZEdxMG5uLVg3dXBwZnc%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ I initially hired Fred and his sons to come power wash the house for their $199 spring special.
