## The honest read

William C. Huff Moving & Storage handles household moves, packing and storage. Its website says the company has been in business 62 years and offers free estimates. A 2025 customer said Russ, Mark, Jordan and Gage loaded their home contents, stored them overnight at the warehouse and unloaded them a day later during a move within New Hampshire. That 2025 customer said the final payment was slightly below the estimate.

A 2026 customer said the Huff team moved their household and personal property, excluding furniture, from Hampton, NH, to Newburyport, MA, and praised the timing and efficiency. A 2026 customer said the crew collected items from two separate places and assembled all the beds at the new home. A 2026 customer moving their elderly mother from a house into an apartment said office manager Donna answered their questions and the movers were sensitive to their mother's needs.

A 2026 customer said a baby grand piano and several large pieces of furniture were delivered and placed without damage during a local household move. A 2023 customer said belongings were stored with Huff for over two years and that the movers lifted everything without scratching the floors. A 2025 customer said five crew members finished below the estimated time, saving almost $1,500 from the estimate.

A 2026 customer reported $752 in damage at the old house, further damage at the new house and a leather couch dragged across concrete that could not be repaired. That 2026 customer said nobody called back to discuss the damage after a move costing almost $5,000. A 2026 customer said the amount to be moved was underestimated, leading to an extra charge and a second delivery, but said the possibility had been explained ahead of time and the second delivery received a flat rate they considered reasonable.

**Strengths:**
- A piano move — a 2026 customer said the baby grand arrived without damage
- Overnight moving storage — a 2025 customer described storage during a New Hampshire move
- Two pickup locations — a 2026 customer said the crew also assembled the beds

**Concerns:**
- Damage without callback — a 2026 customer reported house and couch damage
- An underestimated load — a 2026 customer reported extra cost and a second delivery
