The stated service area runs from East Providence, Cranston and Johnston out to Attleboro, Dighton and Fall River. A local news site, upriseri.com, lists it among Star Group's four service brands for Rhode Island. A customer who had a new split-system air conditioner installed said Scott and Matt made sure they understood each step of the process and how everything worked. A customer who bought a Trane multi-speed A/C and heat pump system said Josh Martin answered all their questions at the consultation and guided them to the right system, and that Ken and his crew were respectful of the home. A customer of several decades said Woods replaced their oil burner in 2023 and left the basement cleaner than when they started. The same customer later had Woods put in a ductless mini-split heating and cooling system to replace through-the-wall and window ACs, and said everything was done in one day. A customer who had a new oil tank installed said the 2 men finished the job on time and cleaned up after. A customer of over 10 years said they have never been disappointed. **Strengths:** - Split-system AC install — a customer said each step was explained - A one-day mini-split install — a customer said everything was done in one day - Consultation help — a customer said Josh Martin answered all their questions ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Says it has been in business for 90 years _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://woodsheating.com) — “Self-reported 90 years in business” - Stated service area includes East Providence, Cranston, Johnston, Attleboro, Dighton and Fall River _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://woodsheating.com) — “Stated service area (self-reported): East Providence, Attleboro, Barrington, Bristol, Burrillville, Charlestown, Cranston, Cumberland, Dight…” - Listed by upriseri.com among Star Group's four service brands for Rhode Island _(confidence: medium)_ - [Local News](https://upriseri.com/article/who-owns-your-hvac-company-check-before-you-sign/) — “upriseri.com — Star Group's current brand page lists four service brands for Rhode Island: Petro Home Services, Buckley Heating & Cooling, W…” - A customer had a new split-system air conditioner installed and said each step of the process was explained _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2sxV1JVRjFkbkIyVjNOR1ZtOW9helIzV0dKR1gzYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0xf1309d7503b6d0a!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOk1WRUF1dnB2V3NGVm9oazR3WGJGX3c%7C%7C?hl=en) — “5★ We had a new Split System Air Conditioning installed.
