## The honest read

Woods Tree Services describes itself on its website as handling removals, trimming, pruning, stump grinding, storm cleanup and tree care from Orange through the Pioneer Valley and Central Massachusetts, and says it has been in business for 30 years.

A customer said the company gave an estimate within minutes, took down two large elms before the end of the day, and worked around the power lines one of the trees had grown over without knocking them down. A customer said the crew cut five trees and some large branches hanging very high over their roof, working for two days. A customer said 3 dead trees were removed from their house in Orange. A customer said the company took down 2 oak trees in their yard and left some of the wood for their wood stove.

After a tree came down next to their house, a customer said the company answered the phone immediately, gave a free estimate, and scheduled a date to take down the branches above the house. A customer said the company chipped the trees and brush on their property and removed that as well. A customer said the company removed several overgrown shrubs and bushes and cleaned everything up before leaving. A customer said the company arrived early and discussed everything with them before cutting.

A customer said their company needed tree limbs removed along a railroad track and that Woods Tree Services came out the next day. A customer who had planned to finance a removal said the company recommended calling N Grid to see if it would take the tree down for free.

**Strengths:**
- Power line work — a customer said two elms came down without hitting lines
- A quick estimate — a customer got an estimate within minutes
- Next-day service — a customer said they came out the next day
- Branch cleanup — a customer said all the branches were picked up
