A 2024 customer said the arrival time was scheduled for 9am to 11am, but the movers did not arrive and start moving until 8pm and did not finish until 2am. That 2024 customer wrote that the people who showed up said they were subcontractors under another company, and that their rate was much higher than the rate Walter quoted; the customer agreed the house had more furniture than expected but ended up paying $1.2k+ in cash. The same 2024 customer said the white mattresses were stained black, the movers broke the screen door, and a sofa was ripped after the move. A 2023 customer said they did not show up when scheduled and eventually arrived at 3:30pm, after the customer's wife was told the move had been put in the schedule for the wrong day. That 2023 customer said a television stand was broken beyond repair during the move, and that despite a posted reply offering to refund 80% of the value, nothing had been refunded. A 2022 customer said Walter guaranteed there would be no change in rates when the job was done, and that it held; their things were wrapped and nothing was damaged. A 2022 customer said Walter was the fastest company to send a quote and it was the best value of the quotes they received. A 2022 customer said Walter placed boxes and furniture where instructed and was concerned about scratching the walls. A 2021 customer said Workaholic Express moved them from Springfield to Manchester CT, was right on time, and handled 3 floors and expensive heavy wood furniture. **Strengths:** - Fixed-rate quote — a 2022 customer said the guaranteed rate did not change - A quick quote — a 2022 customer said Walter sent the fastest quote - Wrapped belongings — a 2022 customer said nothing was damaged **Concerns:** - Late arrival — a 2024 customer said movers came at 8pm, not 9-11am - Subcontracted movers — a 2024 customer said another company's workers showed up - Rate above quote — a 2024 customer paid more than Walter quoted - A broken TV stand — a 2023 customer said it was broken beyond repair - Refund not paid — a 2023 customer said nothing was refunded ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Describes itself as providing moving services and freight services _(confidence: medium)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ct/avon/profile/moving-companies/workaholic-express-0111-87148533) — “About (Better Business Bureau, self-described): Workaholic Express LLC provides moving services and freight services” - A 2024 customer said movers scheduled for 9am-11am did not arrive until 8pm and finished at 2am _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sChdDSUhNMG9nS0VJQ0FnSUN6dXBXM3dnRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x46b33dc287c1405b!3m1!1s2@1:CIHM0ogKEICAgICzupW3wgE%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “1★ Worst move of my life.
