X-treme Temp Heating & Cooling, LLC handles furnace and heating repair in Wallingford, and on Google it holds a 4.9-star average from 290 ratings. Its website lists AC repair, replacement and maintenance, furnace replacement, mini split service, ductwork and water heaters, and names a service area that includes Wallingford, Meriden, New Haven, Middletown and New Britain. A recent customer said Larry, Andrew and Jerry installed a new AC system in the rain after their 24 year old system stopped working, and cleaned up when done. A recent customer said two technicians performed their yearly furnace and oil tank cleaning and maintenance. A recent customer said Dylan quickly diagnosed the problem and repaired it. A recent customer said Larry went over what was repaired and what they may need down the road without making them feel they had to act now.

A 2026 customer wrote that on a subzero Sunday morning with no heat, Larry was there within an hour, found a frozen pipe that had split, thawed it, replaced the damaged section and installed a shut-off valve on the furnace. A 2025 customer said X-Treme Temp responded immediately to a leaking hot water tank, drained it and began the process of replacing it. A 2023 customer said a new boiler was installed along with all new piping, valves, circulators and flue vent pipes, with covering put down to protect the carpets in a finished basement. A 2022 customer who had just moved to Wallingford said Larry and the team installed ductwork, two heat pump forced air zones and a heat pump hot water heater.

A 2023 customer who got a quote for a central air compressor replacement said another company quoted the same work for almost half the cost. A 2022 customer said Andrew replaced a part and added coolant, and complained about the price and installation of the part.
