In a June 2022 BuildZoom review, a customer said they signed a $20,846 contract with Janek Dziewit for a deck rebuild with AZEK boards and a Trex RainEscape drainage system. After the deck was built, the customer said, water was pouring through 19 screw holes and past flashing at the house and posts, and an inspector said the deck failed inspection. When a crew returned and began caulking and taping over the screw holes, the customer's husband asked them to stop, calling it a "Mickey Mouse solution." The customer said they paid another contractor $23,594.60 to redo the work, were in litigation over it, and wrote that the state had fined Janek Dziewit and that the BBB had revoked the company's accreditation.
