## The honest read

Yard Goats Landscaping & Construction puts up fences and keeps up yards. Its website lists Bethel, Danbury, Newtown, Ridgefield and eight other nearby towns as its service area, and says it takes on masonry and hardscape projects.

A 2024 customer said Yard Goats installed a vinyl privacy fence at their new house. A 2024 customer said the company had installed a fence in their yard a couple of years earlier, a job that took almost a week and was, for the most part, done professionally and quickly. That 2024 customer said they were told there was a lifetime guarantee on all parts of the fence; after a couple of pieces broke over the winter, Edwin came out and said the spots would be repaired within a week, but the customer said they never came and later texts and calls went unanswered.

A 2024 customer said Alicen and team mowed their lawn weekly and had redone the driveway, done a fall clean up, removed brush, raked and seeded the yard and pressure washed the deck. A 2024 customer who had used Yard Goats since buying their house in 2017 named lawn care, landscaping, gutter cleanings and spring and fall cleanups, and said Edwin took the time to walk the property and give honest opinions and suggestions. A 2024 customer in Danbury said a yard clean-up cleared away debris, leaves and overgrown areas. A 2024 customer said the company created a custom flat area for a playscape.

A recent customer says no one showed up for weeks to cut the lawn over the summer and replies came very late, though when they did show up they did a nice job. A 2024 customer said that after an estimate, the company rescheduled many times and then never showed up to begin the project.

**Strengths:**
- A vinyl privacy fence — a 2024 customer said it went in at their new house
- Weekly lawn mowing — a 2024 customer said Alicen and team mowed weekly
- A yard clean-up — a 2024 customer said debris and overgrowth were cleared

**Concerns:**
- Missed lawn visits — a recent customer says no one showed up for weeks
- A fence warranty repair — a 2024 customer said the promised repair never came
- A no-show start — a 2024 customer said they rescheduled, then never came
