# You Name It Creatives, LLC **Trade:** Handyman · **Address:** 3 Lancaster Ave, Lunenburg, MA 01462, USA · **Phone:** (978) 254-4097 · **Website:** http://www.younameitma.com/ · **Languages:** English **Rating: 4.0/5** (medium confidence) — from 21 reviews across 5 sources. 95% of sentiment-scored reviews read net-positive. Last 6 months: 1 reviews, 0 negative. ## The honest read You Name It Creatives is a Lunenburg handyman and carpentry outfit run by Joeci Gilchrest (the self-described "Odd Job Specialist" who founded the business after moving from Oklahoma in 2018) and her husband John Gilchrest, who handles carpentry. The company describes itself as woman-owned and family-operated, offering carpentry, deck work, basement finishing, painting, pressure washing, gutter cleaning and general handyperson jobs across North Central Massachusetts. Google shows 4.7★ from 26 ratings. Decks are the recurring theme. In a 2025 review, John replaced the stairs to a second-story deck, staying on schedule and calling ahead about a weather delay; another 2025 review described a full deck facelift — new railings, stairs to a patio, and a repair to the deck's existing framing beyond what was originally requested. In a 2023 review, the couple built two decks for one family who said they'd "hire them again in a heartbeat." Beyond decks, a 2026 review describes a gutter-cleaning job and TV-stand assembly, a 2025 review praises a bathroom remodel for cutting no corners, and a 2023 review describes two consultation walkthroughs — one assessing a shed for renovation, another helping a buyer waive a home inspection by flagging issues that might otherwise have been missed. A 2022 review described three weeks of unanswered calls and emails asking whether the business was still operating — a contrast with the responsiveness other reviewers describe. The company's Massachusetts home improvement contractor license (#208420) is registry-verified expired; BuildZoom separately reports the state showed it as cancelled at one point, so the exact status history isn't fully clear. For deck work or general handyman jobs this looks like a well-regarded small, local operation — worth confirming the license is current and getting a firm response time before booking. **Strengths:** - Deck specialists — stairs, railings, lattice and framing repairs - Repeat clients — hired again across multiple projects over years - Straight talk — flags when code work isn't actually needed **Concerns:** - Slow to respond — three weeks of unanswered calls in a 2022 complaint - License lapsed — MA registration is registry-verified expired **Where sources disagree:** - Our registry check shows the license expired; BuildZoom attributes to the state that the license status was at one point shown as cancelled — the two accounts of its status disagree. ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Massachusetts home improvement contractor license (#208420) is registry-verified expired _(confidence: high)_ - [State License Registry](https://contractorhub.mass.gov/s/hic-contractor-search) — “MA hic license 208420 registry-verified expired — registry holder of record: You Name It Creatives LLC” - BuildZoom reports the state showed this license as cancelled at one point _(confidence: medium)_ - [BuildZoom](https://www.buildzoom.com/contractor/you-name-it-creatives-llc) — “Licence listed on BuildZoom: License #208420 — Status: Inactive, State: Massachusetts, Type: Home Improvement Contractor; BuildZoom states t…” - A 2022 review described three weeks of unanswered calls and emails with no response _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sChdDSUhNMG9nS0VJQ0FnSUR1LWJlYTBBRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x5594f4ffc8406799!3m1!1s2@1:CIHM0ogKEICAgIDu-bea0AE%7C%7C?hl=en) — “1★ I tried calling and left 3 email requests over the course of 3 weeks.
