Architectural DesignWorks is an architecture practice, not a landscaping company — a distinction worth making up front, because this listing sits in the wrong category. Gary Canner draws plans, designs renovations and administers the construction; other people swing the hammers. Everything written about this practice dates from March and April 2017 — four reviews across two platforms, and one of those reads as a professional peer describing the architect's capabilities rather than a project the writer commissioned. Another describes a two-storey addition in Mt. Kisco, New York, well outside the stated area. Houzz also lists licence numbers for Massachusetts and Hawai'i, which are the directory's entries rather than anything confirmed with a state board. If you want an architect for a Marblehead-area renovation, an addition, or historic work on an older house, this is a plausible call — with the caveat that the public record is nine years old. Ask for recent projects and references, ask directly which state registrations are current, and remember you will still need a builder.
