- Is Tavlee free to use?
- Yes. Searching, browsing, reading contractor pages, saving contractors, and comparing them are all free for homeowners.
- Does Tavlee take payment to rank contractors higher?
- No. Rankings can't be bought — contractors are ranked on the evidence Tavlee has gathered, not on who paid.
- How does Tavlee rate a contractor?
- We read and score every review and comment we can find on its own, then combine it with the rest of the record into one rating that reflects how much the evidence supports trusting the contractor. It's not an average of stars, and it can't be bought.
- How do I search for a contractor?
- Use the search bar in the header: choose a trade and enter a location — a town or a ZIP code. Tavlee opens the results grid for that trade in that area.
- How do I know a contractor is actually licensed?
- The page shows whether the contractor's state license is currently active, checked against the official state registry rather than the contractor's own claim, with a link to the record.
- Do I need an account to save a contractor?
- Yes. Tap the heart while you're signed out and Tavlee will prompt you to sign in or create an account, then apply the save the moment you finish. From there, your saved contractors follow your profile across every device.
- How do I claim my business on Tavlee?
- Open your contractor page and choose to claim it, sign in, then complete two steps: prove your identity and prove your authority to represent the business.
