Churchill Properties grew up fast on the North Shore. The company says it was founded in 2016 by Chris and Karen Bernier and now runs seven offices with more than 100 agents and staff, working home sales from its Danvers base across eastern Massachusetts and into southern New Hampshire. The credential checks out where it matters: Massachusetts lists real estate broker licence 422264-RE-LC as active, held by Churchill Properties, LLC — the same number the company prints in its own website footer. What buyers actually write about is the agent they got, not the brand. In a July 2025 review, a couple buying an investment property in Rockport described their agent Melissa working around their travel schedule across several time zones and even setting up the WiFi at the property. In May 2025, a buyer credited Melissa Skomurski with patience and a clear read on the kind of home they wanted. In a January 2024 review, a buyer said Rob sent listings inside their budget, arranged two open houses and a viewing within two days, and coached them to an accepted offer against more than a dozen competing bids. The volume behind that is small. Google shows a 5-star average from six ratings, and the written comments run 2023 to 2025 — a slim base for a firm this size, and every one of them is about one agent's service rather than the brokerage as a whole. Local papers have followed the company steadily. The Salem News reported in August 2023 that co-owner Karen Bernier's 2022 sales volume earned the firm's highest internal award, and The Local News reported in March 2021 that Philio Cushing earned a similar award for 2020 sales. Wicked Local reported in June 2020 that the firm opened a Gloucester office at 127 Eastern Ave. Its agents also turn up as market voices: Andrea Lacroix was quoted in a March 2024 piece on how bidding wars shrank from ten or twenty offers to two or three as rates rose. The firm says it belongs to Leading Real Estate Companies of the World and participates in MLSPIN and PrimeMLS — its own statements, not independently confirmed here. This is a reasonable call if you want a licensed local brokerage with real North Shore coverage and offices near you. Because the praise on file attaches to individuals, ask which agent would actually handle your sale or purchase, and ask that agent about listings they have closed in your town.
