Cory owns 401 Drywall & Plaster, a Rhode Island drywall and plaster business. The company says it has been in business for 20 years and offers free estimates. A recent customer said Cory filled the mounting holes left after the customer removed home theater speakers from the walls and ceiling, prepared them for paint, and left the area cleaned when he finished. A recent customer with a small repair from a leak said that when Cory realized he had the wrong insulation, he went out and got the correct insulation instead of covering the wrong one with drywall, then finished the job early. A 2026 customer who had scraped the popcorn off a ceiling said 401 Drywall was the one company that called back and was willing to take on the small job. A 2026 reviewer wrote that Cory repaired an 8-by-14-inch hole in a finished basement ceiling and made plaster repairs in the garage on the scheduled day, even though it was 20 degrees outside. A 2025 customer had 401 Drywall drywall a space above a garage and the garage ceiling below with Type X drywall. That 2025 customer said Cory also framed out two access panels, cutting them out of insulation batts and boarding, after the customer forgot they needed to go in before the insulation.
Cory, the owner of 401 Plaster and Drywall in Rhode Island arrived promptly as scheduled. After removing my previous home theater speakers from the walls and ceiling to accommodate new Bowers & Wilkins models, the existing mounting holes required filling and preparation for paint. Cory completed the work to an exemplary standard. He conducted himself with professionalism and consideration for my property and left the area thoroughly cleaned upon completion. I unequivocally *Highly Recommend* Cory to take care of your drywall and plaster requirements. Thank you Cory!
If you want someone with INTEGRITY to do a job for you, Cory is your man. Cory had a small repair job to fix in my house from a leak. When he timely arrived on the work day, he realized he had the wrong insulation needed. Instead of putting in the wrong stuff then covering it up with drywall, he went out and got the correct insulation. Then finished the job early and professionally, cleaning up everything before he left.
I finally scrapped off the popcorn off my ceiling. Now I needed a plasterer to finish it. I call so many companies and no one called back except for 401 drywall. They are willing to take on a small job .I was so glad. Cory was on time and boy what a job he did. Just amazing. Made my loft a whole new room. Cory is a master of his trade.
Cory responded right away and communicated with me proactively and quickly. He repaired a 8in by 14 inch hole in our finished basement ceiling and made plaster repairs in our garage. The repairs were done professionally and look great. Also, he made the repairs In the garage on the day scheduled even tho it was only 20 degrees outside. Wholeheartedly recommend.
We had a wonderful experience with 401 Drywall - I cannot say enough good things about the quality of the work and about Cory’s professionalism and consideration. We were finishing a space above our garage and needed the room to be drywalled, plus the ceiling of the garage below to be drywalled using Type X drywall. The job was done beautifully and quickly, and Cory was so considerate and clear every step of the way. He came in early to hang a small piece of drywall that we needed for the mini split installation, and he was happy to add the ceiling work to the job even though that was not what we originally agreed on. He even framed out two access panels, which he had to cut out of insulation batts and boarding, because I had made a mistake and forgot that they needed to go in before the insulation. He is also very responsive and a great communicator - super patient and kind. I cannot recommend him highly enough!
