Decks are what people keep hiring A Green Valley Construction for — seven reviewers describe one. In April 2026, the owner of an antique two-family in Marlborough got new upper and lower decks with stairs; in an August 2025 account, Green Valley took a job other contractors turned down, installing two deck footings, and came out the same day the homeowner called for an estimate.
The company is a Westborough general contractor run by Matheus and Patricia, a couple its site says brought their home-construction work from Brazil to New England; most reviewers just call him Matt. Alongside decking and hardscape it does kitchen and bathroom remodeling, whole-home renovation and flooring, with basement finishing, drywall, tile and carpentry on its BBB listing. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #208900, is active, and the BBB page is accredited with an A+.
Bathrooms come up just as often. A March 2026 customer had three of them renovated, with smart toilets, recessed lighting and large mirrors. In December 2025, a homeowner left with a leaking tile job by a previous contractor — one that ruined that bathroom and the ceiling in the bathroom below it — wrote that Matt and his team came in and gut renovated. An April 2025 reviewer described a basement done with new walls, lights, flooring and part of the ceiling, worked out inside their budget.
Three reviewers wrote about the quote itself. In May 2026 one said Matt's number was reasonable next to the other companies they found; an October 2025 customer called his estimates very reasonable; and in February 2025, on repairs after water damage from a leaking AC, the quote was called reasonable and accurate, with work scheduled as soon as materials were ordered — worth keeping in mind if your project hangs on a long-lead item. An August 2024 reviewer also described Matt adjusting the contract before starting, so settle the final scope on paper.
For a deck, a bathroom that needs taking back to studs, or the small job other contractors won't schedule, this is a sensible call around Westborough and Marlborough. Confirm material lead times before you fix a start date, and get the scope written into the contract before anyone picks up a tool.
