Acme Railing LLC

In a 2022 Thumbtack review, a customer described railings added at a side door so an elderly mother could get in and out and down 2 steps. Richard and his son measured for every inch of reach she would need, and that customer said the railings were made and installed the same week. Acme Railing makes and installs metal railings. On Thumbtack the company describes itself as custom fabricating metal railings for home and business entrances, and says it has been at it in Connecticut for nearly six decades. It offers free estimates and holds an A+ grade from the Better Business Bureau. A 2025 Google reviewer wrote that Rich and his son Jim gave an estimate in 1 day and installed a 2 rail step project 2 days later, and said the cost was the best of 3 estimates. A 2023 Google customer said Jim and Rich had the best price for railing and install out of three quotes. A 2022 Google customer wrote that handmade railings were installed within a week of the visit for a quote, at a fair price with a lifetime guarantee. A 2022 reviewer whose house was built in 1930 said they were able to work with the old home and installed quickly. A 2025 customer said they were cautious about an old concrete porch while doing the railings. In a 2023 Google review, a customer thanked them for reinstalling and fixing a railing, and a 2016 Thumbtack customer said the handrail went where they suggested and the installation was quick and clean.
