Louis agreed to inspect it the day after they called, and that customer said he is an engineer who was able to give guidance on structural matters. A recent customer said Louis used drone cameras, thermal imaging cameras and mold and radon testing equipment, and provided a 150+ page report with pictures inside of 3 days. A 2026 customer said a prior inspection by another company had missed details, and that Lou walked them through the condition of the home and its stone foundation. A 2025 customer said Louis inspected an 11K sq ft home built in 1988 that had a water event in the basement, and turned the 600 page report around in 24 hours at the customer's request. I HIGHLY recommend Advant Engineering and Louis for your home inspection needs. We thoroughly researched home inspectors and decided to go with Louis, and I am thankful we did. He was prompt, professional, used modern technology (drone cameras, thermal imaging cameras, modern mold and radon testing equipment) to give us the best assessment of a property and provided us with the knowledge needed to make an informed decision that will impact our family moving forward. 150+ page report provided inside of 3 days, with pictures included, specific to our property and needs. I will be recommending Louis and Advant to anyone I meet who is entering the housing market going forward.
We had reached out to Louis with respect to several homes, which were over 100 years old, with various issues that we had bid on (and lost), and he was very helpful in providing guidance. When we finally one, we reached out to him again. It was important to do the inspection quickly because the contact was not going to be subject to inspection, and we didn't lose the bid. He agreed to do the inspection the day after we contacted him. As we did the walk through with him, he provided a number of very helpful suggestions, but felt that the house (from the 1860s) was in very good shape. In addition, unlike many other inspectors, he is an engineer and was able to provide guidance on structural matters (which fortunately was fine). He produced a 168 page report the following day (with lots of pictures), which also included a summary. We found him very knowledgeable and helpful, and highly recommend him.
