There is very little published feedback either way. One Google review, from February 2026, rates the company five stars and says only "Professional". The BBB profile carries an A+ grade with no customer reviews and no complaints on file, though it is not a BBB-accredited business. One thing on the public record deserves a direct question. In 2016 the Massachusetts Attorney General's office found the company had violated the state's prevailing wage law on work at the University of Massachusetts campus, and AK Electric paid $61,000 in restitution and penalties to six underpaid workers. That is ten years old and there is no later action on file, but anyone hiring for public or prevailing-wage work should ask how payroll is certified now. The company also states master electrician licences in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont plus Mass DOT and DCAMM certification. Those are its own claims — none of them has been confirmed against a registry here — so ask to see the certificates, particularly if the job is a public one where DCAMM certification matters.
