Alcraft, Inc. says it has been in business for 30 years. A recent customer had a closed-in balcony, a deck and a porch done and praised Mr Carrol, who performed the job; in an update, that customer said finishing on the back porch promised for the Spring was not done as of April 29th 2026, and that they had not heard from Mike about gutters ordered April 8th. A 2026 customer said Carroll built their deck despite the weather and some frigid temperatures, and that the company had done their roof a few years earlier. A 2025 customer said the entire siding and gutters of their house were redone in less than 15 days, with Wilson as the head of the project. A 2025 customer said the company renovated their kitchen and bathroom and paved the backyard. A 2024 customer said the complete roof took 1.5 days, including the flashing around the chimney and pipes. A 2024 customer said the roof crew put big holes in the ceiling of the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom and that two weeks later the drywall was not done; that customer later wrote that the issues were resolved. A 2025 customer said an estimate appointment was booked on the wrong day, no one showed up for the rebooked visit, and three days after a promised call there was still no estimate. A 2023 customer said they had called Mike for 5 weeks about finishing siding work and that he made appointments and never called or showed up. I have their number on my call list for when I need projects done on my home. They did great work on my last property for several jobs and I have since called on Alcraft for work on my current home. Very friendly and attentive to work with. They have always been considerate of what I want and make sure that what is in my head is what I get and make suggestions that help improve things in ways I would not have thought of without their experience. The people doing the day to day on-site work are also great. I have a few new things I want to do to the house both big and small and will definately be calling on them again as I know I can trust them for quality, cost, and scheduling.
Overall I had a great experience with Alcraft. From the sales/accounting dept to management to the contractor everyone had a professional demeanor yet at the same time made our meetings feel personable and non-intimidating! Mike was quick in responding to all my texts and calls. He will always respond. Rather good news or bad (if delay of any product for any reason) he will notify you Asap! Having a closed in balcony done, and deck, and porch was one of the biggest projects done on our home ever. I was so nervous, but, Mr Carrol, who performed the job certainly made it worth the wait! I am beyond ecstatic and so very happy and pleased! I highly recommend! UPDATE! I Had several jobs done. My above post was for work finished. Was told by Mike that in the Spring they would put finishing on my back porch. Not done as of April 29th 2026. Was also told by Mike that my gutters was ordered April 8th. I guess they never arrived as I haven't heard from Mike since! I'm tired of always having to call Mike or text just to find out status of ongoing projects! I'm starting to feel like some of the other customers that once they make the sales thru their finance company and your paying religiously and on time that they DEFINITELY FORGET ABOUT YOU! All the good customer service goes out the window! You begin to get brief texts and no calls, unless you call. Customer service is key to keep us coming back! My new rating for this company is a definite 1.5 at best.
This is the second time I've used this company. A few years ago I used them for my roof and they did an excellent job, so when the opportunity came knocking once again I used them to do my deck. I have to applaud the workman Carroll who single handily did an amazing job.Despite the weather and some frigid temperatures he executed the job in a neat and timely manner. I would recommend this company to anyone who's looking for good work and lifetime warranties.
During the past 7 years I have had the pleasure of doing business with The Alcraft Company. Complete attic renovation. This summer and fall these items were done-Gazebo/railings on the front porch area/basement door/basement windows plywood and vinyl placement. I want to give a huge shout out to Carroll ☺️ He's the man with the master plan. He gets the job done in ample time. Thank you Mike ,Sal,Carroll and crew.☺️
Let's give a sequence of events. I made an appointment to get an estimate, received an email for the appointment reminder and it was the wrong day. Call back and make a new appointment for the following week, no one shows up. Call back the next day to find out what happened, got a return call with apologies, scheduling not communicating properly and people out on vacation. Get offered to come out and look around the next day, while I'm not home, and will call that evening to go over the estimate. Fine. It's been 3 days. No call. No estimate. Don't know how the people who have left positive reviews ever got them to show up. Thanks for nothing.
