ALTIERI CONSTRUCTION

Kitchens are the job that shows up again and again in Altieri Construction's reviews: five of them describe kitchen renovations, one paired with a bath on the same floor and one with a wall removal. Customers of the Trumbull remodeler, writing between 2016 and 2021, also describe a three-season room built from an old screened porch, a bearing wall removed with a new entry door and mud room added, a bluestone patio, and a new front door and storm door installed at the quoted price. The company describes itself as a design-build remodeling and repair contractor with more than 30 years in the trade. Frank Altieri is the name customers use. In a 2017 review, a homeowner who hired him to renovate a new house in Trumbull said his pricing was fair and accurate and that he explained each step as the crew worked. A 2018 review lists a deck extension, a patio door, new kitchen cabinets, countertops, a porcelain tile backsplash and a tile floor. The latest review, from September 2021 on Houzz, says the workers were neat and courteous. Two 1-star Houzz reviews describe paid work that never happened. In an August 2017 review, a customer who paid a deposit for two doors and a porch rebuild said the contracted 6/20 start passed, promised start dates on 7/26 and 8/1 came and went, and no one showed up for a promised materials delivery. A November 2019 reviewer said Frank had been paid months earlier for supplies and then stopped returning calls. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0576878, is listed as expired, under ALTIERI CONSTRUCTION. BuildZoom lists two other home improvement numbers for the company, HIC.0669671 and HIC.0632575. The company holds 4.3 stars from 24 Houzz ratings and 5.0 from 8 on BuildZoom, and the Better Business Bureau grades it A+.
