Big trees close to houses are the jobs APEX TREE & EARTHWORX keeps getting called for. The Damariscotta business describes itself on its website as family-run under owner Aaron Child and claims 18 years in business. One customer says the team removed a dead tree inches from a neighbor's deck, a damaged ash over moving water and two trees overhanging the garage in one day, and left the driveway with no sign of the work. That customer says the cost seemed high up front but came to feel like a reasonable price after seeing the operation. After a summer storm brought down half of an ash tree's upper canopy, a customer sent photos through the website's estimate function and got a call that same evening; the standing half, next to a structure, came down by crane piece by piece. A customer with white pines over the house says the team removed them with a crane, ropes and saws, and that writing the check was painful. On Angi, a customer says the company removed more than 10 large trees close to the home over two days, with Mr Child meeting several times before the job. The work is not only removals. One customer says the team cleared scrub and old trees, created a path in the woods and installed a new lawn, and a customer had wood chips delivered as planned. APEX holds a 5-star Google rating from 28 ratings.
Solid work from Arron and his team. Great execution and clean-up.
Honest, skilled. Professional. We plan on having APEX do yearly tree work. Highly recommended.
Apex removed multiple trees from precarious locations for us. We had a dead tree inches from our neighbor’s deck, a large damaged ash threatening to fall into moving water, and two trees overhanging our garage. They arrived on time and jumped in immediately - I could tell it was all well- planned before they arrived. They successfully and safely did the job in one day. The big impression they left was 1) they worked like a well-oiled machine in a scenario that requires a lot of trust between teammates, and 2) they left our driveway immaculate where they had processed the removed trees. You would not have known any tree work happened there. This was our first tree removal experience, and the cost seemed high to us up front. However, after seeing the entire operation, we understood. In the end we felt it was a reasonable price to pay for an experienced team, careful planning and permitting, insurance, extensive heavy equipment (and fuel), hauling away, etc. Hope we don’t have to do it again, but if we do, this is who we’ll call.
Apex Tree and Aaron have helped multiple times in the 3 years we have been in Maine. Top notch people who really know the tree business! Highly recommend, they are on top of my favorite numbers in my phone
