In May 2026 a customer on a rush timeframe said Archadeck of Central Maine measured, took photos, prepared a plan with drawings and estimates, got permission from other pending clients and moved them to the front of the line; the work was done within two to three weeks, with TJ and Jessie as the two lead guys. Archadeck of Central Maine is based in Veazie and holds 4.8 stars from 66 Google ratings and 4.6 from 9 on Angi. In July 2025 TJ and his crew built an 18×20 ft elevated deck that goes over a slope, and the customer said it was built well and very quick. In April 2025 TJ and his crew built a three-story deck on a steep hill for a customer who said it feels secure and up to code. In a March 2023 review, a customer who first called TJ about shifting footings and a few rotten boards said the crew discovered rotten deck boards, and Archadeck replaced all of them with composite and installed an aluminum and steel cable railing. In an August 2025 update, another customer wrote that the deck Archadeck built two years earlier, with a lower level designed to hold a hot tub, built by carpenter Garret and joined by Preston on the last day, had had no issues; that summer they hired the company again to convert their screen-porch openings to Eze-Breeze windows and replace a standard-size door with a sliding door. In a July 2025 review, a customer who hired Archadeck of Central Maine to build a massive retaining wall described TJ as the owner and called him responsive and transparent. In June 2025 a one-star reviewer said they paid $31k for an approximately 210 sq ft deck installed with no water protection behind the ledger board; the owner TJ and his assistant Jesse both advised it was done right, and code enforcement failed it. The customer wrote that the crew had to cut the ledger board off the house to put in a water barrier, that a header for a new 6 ft sliding glass door went in only after the customer insisted, and that the holes for three helical posts were drilled a foot into the garage door path. In a September 2024 Reddit post, a commenter whose deck Archadeck of Central Maine built said nothing was flashed and rain blows up into the band joist, while the company said it was built correctly. In a November 2024 Reddit post, a commenter who had a deck built by the company described it as a $30k nightmare.
“I don't think this is working out the way Archadeck expected it would.”
“There is a very well documented and redacted 1star review on google about Archadeck.”
“Shortly after they got a bunch of 5 star reviews all in a day and sent me a cease and desist letter”
“we went with all trex materials so they were more expensive, but most pieces are uneven or popping up.”
“I’m assuming this wasn’t Archadeck proper that does the install but a subcontractor of theirs?”
Thank you all - you guys were really patient, competent, and friendly. It turned out better than expected (no offense please) and you dealt with our confusion exceptionally. So happy.
Our experience with Archadeck of Central Maine was perfection. They came over, heard our plan, did some measuring, took photos, prepared a plan - with drawings! and estimates! - modified the plan and estimates, heard us re: rush timeframe, got permission from other pending clients, and moved us to the front of the line. The work was done within two to three weeks. The lead guys (2, TJ and Jessie) were the essence of courtesy cooperation, innovation, solution-finding, etc. Two or three "side" projects emerged during their time here, for which they designed, estimated, and finished. Just amazing. Hire these guys, period.
They built my deck to my specifications and it’s a veauty. They showed up as they said and did an awesome job. The workers were all very professional. I would highly recommend Archadeck .
TJ and his crew did an amazing job on our deck and would highly recommend. Chris was our day to day guy and he did a meticulous job. You can see the pride they put into their work. Thank you Archadeck for giving us our dream deck!
It took us 3 years to find a builder to build/expand the deck of our dreams. TJ, the owner of Archadeck, worked with us to realise our vision of a deck that spans the back of the house, allowing us to fully enjoy the oceanfront views and made it possible for us to directly access the deck from our kitchen. TJ was wonderful to work with and we could not be happier with the results!
