we saved up for years to have major repairs done to our home. things went wrong immediately due to tens of thousands of dollars worth of water damage (unrelated to the repairs) caused entirely by negligence on the part of avalon. we were not in a position to switch contractors as the work was already underway and no time could be wasted. it would have been comparable to firing a contractor after they'd already torn the front of your house off. it wasn't a possibility, so we had to let the work go forward. the end result in no way resembled the agreed upon work (wrong colors, wrong appearance, cheap materials and poor workmanship. contractors who had to come in to do additional repairs after the fact showed us how poorly some of it was done and we could see it from inside due to ongoing water damage) we raised concerns during construction but were assured it would all come together in the end. they went weeks over time and over budget. honestly i wouldn't even have mentioned those last 2 if the work had been done well and the damage to our home and property had not happened or had been properly repaired. those variables are well known possibilities in home repairs. destroying your home and expecting to be paid extra for huge mistakes should not be possibilities. once the original project was complete they fixed some of the damage to the house, none of the damage to the property (they claimed this to be expected collateral damage during home repairs, and i don't mean a few broken twigs or crushed flowers. i mean like 20 foot trees snapped in half by falling equipment and construction materials) and then wanted more money to pay for their own easily avoidable mistakes. aside from having to get more contractors and spending thousands more cleaning up more of the mess they made (there is still visible damage. we've just given up) i've been too traumatized to do any further, badly needed renovations because i'm so afraid of another terrible experience.

Avalon Exteriors is excellent! This was our first time working with Gary and his crew. Great customer service, quality of work, and price! Gary was very easy to work with and communication throughout the whole process was great. The guys were skilled, neat, and professional. They cleaned up very nice all around the house after the job was finished. The new siding,roof,windos and doors are looking fantastic. We are in love with our newly renovated home!
