"Antonio can figure out any electrical problem," a homeowner of 30 years wrote in February 2026, calling AWP Electrical Services the best electrician they have used. The Greenwich company's Connecticut electrical licence, ELC.0189573-E1, is active in the name AWP Electrical Services Inc, and it describes itself on Angi as having more than 30 years in the electrical field, doing residential, commercial and service work. It is BBB accredited with an A+ grade, and Angi and HomeAdvisor each show 4.5 stars from 11 ratings. Apart from that review, the written reviews date from 2016 and 2017, when customers described quick diagnoses and prompt service; one June 2017 reviewer said the electrician came out for an estimate and completed the work on the spot. Two 2017 reviewers said the work was expensive or "not cheap," though both said it was worth it. A July 2017 reviewer was less pleased. They wrote that while Antonio was knowledgeable, the work was incomplete and sloppy and needed a follow-up visit, billed for time plus a service charge, and objected to $650 for rewiring a GFI box and a junction box, and to labor charges for several trips to electrical supply shops. Angi and HomeAdvisor also list HIC.0668328 for the business.
AWP is the best electrician I have used in my 30 years as a homeowner. Work is flawless and Antonio can figure out any electrical problem. I will never use another electrician again!
Good work
Antonio is a knowledgeable electrician; while i have respect for his acumen his work was incomplete/sloppy and required a follow up visit (that he charged time PLUS service visit charge) to address a problem that should have been addressed in the initial visits that were costly (1 rewire of a GFI box, 1 junction box and a new rewire of conduit wire to this box=$650??? whattt?)--maybe i am out of touch but is it normal protocal for paying labor charges for several trips to electric supply shops...the first visit i get but 3??
Expensive but otherwise very good. Needed work done immediately and they responded
Prompt service and was able to complete work on the spot even though he came out initially just to provide an estimate. Plan to hire again.
