A deck, a door and its framing, two days on site: that is how a July 2024 Google reviewer described hiring B&P Handyman Services for the first time, crediting Edwin and his team. The company describes itself on HomeAdvisor as a Maine handyman service, "from demo to remodeling," and holds a 4.7-star Google average from 20 ratings plus 5.0 stars from six HomeAdvisor ratings. In December 2024 a Google reviewer credited Edwin, Johanna and the team with installing a door set, gutters and snow guards, and said they arrived promptly when adjustments were needed later. A November 2024 reviewer described a summer of house repairs, singling out a kitchen ceiling drywall repair. In a June 2024 review, a customer wrote that Edwin painted the inside of a garage and took down and painted the shutters. A September 2024 HomeAdvisor customer described finished sunroom renovations, with the crew on time each day. In August 2022 a Google reviewer wrote that Edwin and Matt installed new siding, soffit and trim on their camp. In June 2024 a one-star Google reviewer who hired B&P to repair siding and do trim work wrote that the siding ordered and installed was the wrong size, that they were asked to pay the full sum before the job was complete because "he needed to make payroll," and that the installation was poor enough that they hired someone else to fix it.
Best company to work with.
Very pleased with the experience from Edwin, Johanna, and the team. They installed a door set, some gutters, and snow guards. When some adjustments needed to be made later, they arrived promptly to address the details. Transparent online estimate process and prompt, clear communication throughout.
I contacted B&P to inquire about putting some gutters on my house. They were absolutely pleasent to deal with from start to finish. Edwin and his team are great! They worked to get me in for an onsite consult very fast, and worked with me to get the job scheduled quicky. The showed up on time and worked dilligently and were very nice to be around. I can't wait to hire Edwin and his crew for my next project.
B&P Handyman Services successfully accomplished a variety of house repairs for me this summer. The kitchen ceiling drywall repair was particularly outstanding.
They came when they said, did what they said and were nice about it. I didn’t have to wait months for a response or to get the work done either. They installed a garage door opener and the price was ok. I would definitely use them again.

A day rate replaces the task list — usually the better deal once the list gets long.
