Barletta Heavy Division is a heavy-construction contractor that a U.S. Attorney's announcement describes as the Massachusetts construction firm responsible for building the Route 6/10 Interchange Project. A 2017 Reddit thread listed it on the 6/10 Constructor bid team alongside O&G Industries, D.W. White Construction and Aetna Bridge. That same announcement covers the resolution of federal criminal and civil investigations into the company, and an Engineering News-Record headline reads "Massachusetts Contractor Pays $11M to Settle Illegal Dumping Charges in Rhode Island". A 2020 Reddit commenter, pointing to a news article, said the company took soil from Pawtucket/Central, a designated Superfund site, and used it as fill on 6/10. A 2024 commenter said it had worked large RIDOT contracts with mixed outcomes. A 2025 Google reviewer said one of its silver pickup trucks was driven aggressively on I-95 Southbound.
“It’s worth noting that Barletta has worked large contracts for RIDOT before with mixed outcomes. They were the ones charged for dumping contaminated soils in Providence a few years back as part of 6/10.”
“The contract documents have a wall. Barletta bid the wall and builds the wall. RIDOT verifys qty of wall installed against what Bartletta invoices for against a schedule of values which totals the overall project price.”
“the home of Barletta’s Dennis Ferreira’s daughter’s home”
“Holy fuck, according to the article Barletta took soil from Pawtucket/Central (a designated superfund site) and moved it to use as fill in 6/10. Somebody's head is going to fucking ROLL.”
“The 6/10 Constructor bid team includes New England companies, Barletta Heavy Division Inc., O&G Industries Inc., D.W. White Construction Inc. and Aetna Bridge Co.”
“United States Attorney Zachary A. Cunha announced today the resolution of federal criminal and civil investigations into Barletta Heavy Division, Inc., the Massachusetts construction firm responsible for construction of the Route 6/10 Interchange Project, and Dennis Ferreira, former Superintendent for the project.”

Observed one of their silver pickup trucks (#22) driving aggressively and engaging in road rage on I-95 Southbound on October 15, 2025. Very unsafe and unprofessional behavior from a company vehicle.
