On its website, Bartlett's Landscape Design writes about custom paver patio installation and names a service area that includes Lenox, Stockbridge, Great Barrington, Lee, Williamstown and Pittsfield. A 2021 Google customer said Taylor Bartlett called back immediately, came to look over the job that night and got a quote to them within 24 hours. That 2021 customer said he and his small crew removed, elevated and replaced their front walk with paving stones and landscaped the area in two days, and that his design resolved a water issue with heavy rain pouring down the walk. In the same 2021 review, the customer described a second job on a steep bank: he removed the old stone, widened and evened out the walkway and removed six overgrown trees, then large 3'x3' Goshen stones were hand placed and cut on the slope, with steps cut in. A 2022 Google reviewer said the company charged their card $150 after they said they didn't want the service, never came and would not refund the money. That 2022 reviewer said that when they asked to cancel, the man said, "Whatever dude, don't call me again."
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Bartlett's Landscape Design. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.

Typical landscaping service around $60
They charged my card $150, even though I told them I didn't want the service right after speaking with them after the initial call. They never came and they still won't refund the money. Now I'm opening a dispute with the credit card company because this is pure theft. Not professional whatsoever. When I said cancel the service the man said " Whatever dude, don't call me again". Rediculous. By the way, look at the reviews. Two of them are from themselves!
If you’re looking for a great stone and landscaping business, this is the place! Taylor Bartlett is responsive to every call, text or email within 24 hours if not sooner. When I messaged him about our job, not only did he call immediately but came to look over the job THAT NIGHT after he was done with working another job. He got a quote to us within 24 hours which was kind of amazing in and of itself. He was realistic on how long we would have to wait until he could get to the work. He and his small crew got our front walk removed, elevated and replaced with beautiful paving stones, and then landscaped the whole area, which was not a part of the original job request, in TWO DAYS! They worked until 7pm each night and his design resolved a water issue we had with heavy rain water pouring down our walk. The other job was much more extensive. It entailed a long, sloping, curved walkway that had dangerously broken slate with uneven stepping stones down a steep bank. He removed all the old stone, brought in dirt and stone/dust and widened and evened out the walk the first day while also removing 6 overgrown trees! Then it took 2-3 days for them to hand place and cut large 3’x3’ goshen stones on the slope, (all of which he had hand picked for our job) landing at bottom of staircase and down the curved walkway with steps cut in and reinforced with beautiful stone underneath each large step. It looks like it will last for quite a long time and far exceeded our expectations. Then I asked for him to landscape and mulch that whole area as the walkway looked so nice, which was also not in the original job request. He did a fine job, returning at the end of the day to do all the plantings and mulch. He and his crew are professional, friendly, neat and very pleasant to work with even as the job specs kept changing. Taylor does excellent work and he and his crew might be small but they are mighty and have obviously worked together seamlessly for a while. THEY ARE WORTH THE WAIT AND WHATEVER THE COST OF THE JOB!
