Berkshire Photovoltaic Services is a solar installer based in North Adams run by Christopher Kilfoyle; according to its Better Business Bureau profile, the company (BPVS, Inc.) has operated since 1985. In 2017, Panasonic Eco Solutions named it an Authorized Solar Installer, and its Massachusetts construction supervisor license and home-improvement contractor registration are both active with the state. Independent feedback online is sparse. The one review on file, posted to its BBB page with no date attached, describes an incorrect roof-panel installation and says the company refused to take responsibility for repairing the resulting damage. A 2022 Reddit comment names it as an option worth looking into for a home system, but doesn't describe any actual work. Older news coverage from 2015-2018 quotes Kilfoyle on industry topics like tariffs and a state solar cap, without touching on the company's own installs. Before calling, ask directly how the company would handle a botched installation — the one detailed account on file describes exactly that scenario going unresolved, and BBB grades the company A+ without listing it as an accredited business.
