Birch Hill Mowing & Property Maintenance is a small Bridgewater-based outfit that says it services East Bridgewater, West Bridgewater, Bridgewater and Raynham. It runs two service lines: lawn and grounds work — weekly mowing, weed eating, shrub and small tree trimming, shrub removal, flowerbed maintenance, spring and fall cleanups, mulching and snow plowing — and what it calls handyman services, covering painting, drywall repair, light carpentry, basic plumbing and electrical, debris removal and cleanouts, furniture assembly, and Bobcat and small excavation work. The public record is very thin, and it points in two directions. On Nextdoor in October 2025 a neighbour in East Bridgewater recommended the company in a Raynham thread, writing that the owner "DOES A WONDERFUL JOB. VERY RELIABLE TOO." Against that sits the only review on file, a one-star Google review from April 2025 written by a customer who had been matched to the company through the Lawn Love platform. That customer says they cancelled the service on 31 March after two weeks of unfulfilled work, did the cleanup themselves on 2 April — bagging 22 bags of leaves, removing branches and hauling them to Stoughton's leaf recycling on 5 April — and that the company then reported having done the job on 4 April and submitted photographs. That is an allegation about billing integrity rather than workmanship, it is unanswered in the record, and anyone hiring should ask about it directly. The company's own site sets out its terms plainly: free quotes, no contracts and pay as you go, with phone calls or texts returned within 24 hours. It publishes no street address, no founding year, no owner name, no licence number and no insurance claim. With one review and one neighbour recommendation there is not enough here to judge the work by. Get the scope and the price in writing before the crew starts, and confirm how completed work is documented and billed.

“F. DOES A WONDERFUL JOB. VERY RELIABLE TOO. BIRCH HILL MOWING”
This review is based on this company being contracted via Lawn Love care. I canceled this service on March 31st as it had not been fulfilled by Lawn Love Care over the previous 2 weeks. After cancellation for the service date of April 4th 2025, (I actually did the work myself on April 2nd. I bagged 22 bags of leaves and removed the branches. I left the bags under a blue tarp as Stoughton's leaf recycling is open on Saturdays. I brought them there myself on April 5th to 100 Page Street in Stoughton.), Birch Hill Mowing then proceeded to say they did the job on April 4th. They took pictures of the leaves and my tarp that I wrapped them in and said they did the job. They showed a picture of branches they say they collected (the yard has 1 tree and as I said previously, I did this April 2nd). All other trees are my neighbors and outside the fenced property. They said they mowed the lawn. Problem is, the little front lawn was still pretty yellow and not growing. The back yard is dirt and mud as it has been dug up for the installation of a new septic system. Now on top of lying about the work they did on property that they did not have permission to be on and thus trespassing, they charged my card for the work I did and even added a $33 tip for leaf removal which like the rest of the job, I did. I had multiple neighbors who verified this and I have received a full refund from Lawn Love care . I would not recommend either business as they are not to be trusted. EDIT: I am now replying to the reply. I never received a text from anyone. We had canceled. This is Lawn Loves problem not mine. Once I canceled, I would not go back to responded as it has been... canceled. Your issue is with Lawn Love. They are the one's employing you. Its up to you and your contracted employer to communicate about a job since they knew I canceled. It's not the customer's responsibility once the cancelation has been done and confirmed. Also, that picture of the leaves and showing the driveway cleanup... That picture pretty much shows how i left the driveway. I cleaned the driveway as there were 4 bags of leaves taken from there. I cleared the dirt/sand and any branches that were there. I have my own back pack leaf blower. So that work was already done as well. The driveway was cleared on the 2nd. SO you repeated work that was already done and charged me for it. Also it doesn't explain why you tipped yourself $33 for leaf removal, when the I recycled them on the 5th and collected my tarp that I used to cover them. Its not on me to respond once I have canceled the service. You don't think it should be a negative on you as you were contracted via Lawn Love. But the pictures submitted along with Lawn Love saying you mowed the lawn, collected sticks, removed leaves (since you tipped yourself $33 per the picture from Lawn Love), and now stating you cleaned the driveway (which was done on the 2nd as well) show the opposite. I stand by my review above and the edit in response. You are ultimately responsible as the business owner to communicate with Lawn Love who contracted you.
