Black Magic Chimney Sweeps is a chimney and fireplace company out of Manchester. The company says it has been in business 46 years, and its website lists a service area that includes Manchester, Bennington, Rutland, Londonderry, Stratton and Weston. A recent customer said Rob and Logan installed a tiny pellet stove and took the time to explain everything. One homeowner wrote that Chris ordered and installed a fireplace insert, arrived promptly and completed early, at a reasonable price. On a recent chimney job, Matt and Logan had to dismantle the old crown, pour a new one, mount a new cap and wrap the chimney. A 2026 customer wrote that Black Magic rebuilt both of their chimneys, the first two years before the second. A 2025 customer said the company installed an aluminum liner with insulation on a furnace flue. A 2024 customer wrote that Jenny from Black Magic offered to donate a new gas stove after a chimney fire at the customer's father's home, and that Chris, Rob and Jake relined the chimneys and installed the stove within a day. Its BBB page shows an A+ grade. A 2024 customer said they waited four months for a visit, then another two after a reschedule, and that the top of the chimney was never sealed, so rain ran down inside it into the basement; that customer said the problem was only partially fixed. A 2023 customer said an inspection of 30-45 minutes, with a couple of phone pictures taken up the chimney, brought a bill for $598.

Cyris and Zac came out to do a inspection for me. Turnaround time was quick, quote was quick, they walked me through every step of the process. They were even able to do me a solid and squeeze in sweep at the same time.
Zac and Cyris are AWESOME today! I can't say enough about how sweet, kind and professional both young men were! I called Scott's Clean Sweep, this morning. I had missed my unit being cleaned, when the rest were done on Saturday, due to my not having my keys in my lock box. On Saturday, Frank was at my condo complex, completing our 9 units. I had forgotten to put keys in my lock box. Frank spoke with me and went above and beyond, with my neighbor Sean, trying to locate my other spare keys. Sadly, I did not have both keys at the location, but Frank gave me his contact and that of the West Dover office. He said to phone to reschedule and kindly told me they would be able to fit me in. Today, I phoned Laura, from Scott's Clean Sweep of West Dover. She put me in touch with Heather, from Black Magic, to set up a cleaning. Heather actually sent a crew out to my home to do my fireplace before 1:00 TODAY! This is EXCELLENT customer service. Zac and Cyris were super terrific. They were so easy to talk to and both made my dog feel so special. They were super neat when cleaning. They covered the floor and area near the fireplace, so nothing was left behind. They 'swept' the chimney and fireplace out and even shared ideas on how I could better burn, to keep the build up down, in the future. Zac also told me about a few products I might be interested in using. One item to keep the creosote down and another to help stop the sound of the metal scraping as I opened and closed my glass doors. EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE by both technicians, Zac and Cyris, today, Frank, on Saturday, and both Laura and Heather today. Rob and Logan were awesome! They installed a tiny pellet stove for me today, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. These guys are not only professional, but also incredibly kind, informative, and thorough. They took their time to make sure everything was done right and took the time to explain everything to me. The two men did a very thorough job! I've never had such a detailed examination of my chimney in all the years I've owned a wood stove. Well done to them and I certainly recommend their work.
