Boss Roofing is a family-owned residential roofing company at 78 Mill St in New Bedford, run by Mike Schneider, doing roof replacement, repair, maintenance and installation on the South Coast. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration (202158) is registry-verified active, Angi lists a construction supervisor license (CS-112138) good through April 2028, and the company cites an Angi Super Service Award for 2025. Angi's listing covers asphalt, cedar, metal, slate and copper roofing plus TPO and EPDM commercial roofs. The people who hired them are unanimous: 5.0 stars from 20 Angi ratings, 4.8 from 14 on Google, and 11 written reviews from 2022 to 2025 without a complaint. A July 2025 homeowner who spent months collecting four expensive quotes took a neighbor's recommendation and found Mike's price far lower and his responses quick; another that month had the whole roof done in a day. A 2024 reviewer who describes himself as a detail-oriented, high-expectation customer says Mike came in competitive, held the quote, and worked with him on changes. Others describe storm repairs with fascia replaced, a job completed on the stated timeline at a reasonable price, landscaping left untouched with no debris behind, and a repeat customer who had the roof and the back of the house done in the same few months. One public record should be noted: OSHA's site lists an inspection (1701678.015) of Boss Roofing LLC; the listing itself does not say what, if anything, was cited. For an asphalt roof replacement or storm repair in the New Bedford area, the customer history is short but consistent on price, responsiveness and cleanup. Confirm the shingle warranty and get the quote and timeline in writing, which reviewers say Mike honors.

100% recommend, these guys have always gave me a good service. Anytime they come to my house I feel satisfied with the way they treat clients like me
Boss roofing was an incredible experience for us. Completed the roof in one day with an expert crew.
I highly recommend Mike Schneider and Boss Roofing. We shopped around for the best pricing for our house for a few months and we had 4 very high ! $$$$ quotes given by different companies from all over before our neighbor across the street recommended Boss . Mike was very responsive and came back with the best price we could get, a VERY significant difference, all materials were of high quality and he made sure we got exactly what we requested as far as color and brand of product. He and he’s crew did an excellent job paying attention to all the details and accommodating our schedule. We liked him so much, we used him again in a rental property we acquired months later. We definitely recommend giving Mike and Boss Roofing a call before you make a decision . We will absolutely use them again on any other project property we buy.
They provided excellent customer service. Mike was easy to contact and answered all of my questions. They completed the job without damaging any of my landscaping and there wasn't any debris left behind. It is perfect.
