Boston's Best Chimney describes itself on Angi as a chimney service company offering chimney sweeping, relining, repairs, rebuilding and restorations. In r/massachusetts Reddit threads from October 2022 and March 2024, two commenters said they had used Boston's Best Chimney more than once, one of them with no problem. A 2021 customer said the company took down their old chimney, rebuilt it and added a new cap. That 2021 customer also said the company contacted an adjacent neighbor whose porch received debris from the demolition, and cleaned up and hosed everything down afterward. A 2020 customer said the company relined a water heater exhaust flue and replaced a chimney cap, and that the work came under the quote. A 2020 customer described the demolition and rebuild of a chimney from the roof up, with a chimney cap and flashing installed. A 2020 customer with a blocked flue said the company came out the same day for a $150 extra fee and did a clean out. A 2019 customer said the company had installed a chimney liner two years earlier that solved smoke in the basement, and that Matt the owner recommended a flue extension that improved the fireplace draw. A 2018 customer said the flashing was repaired with tar and the chimney was repointed. A 2019 customer said a service worker tried to get them to buy a liner for over $2,000 and, when they declined, said the company would not service them again. A 2020 customer called the relining estimate pricey.
“I've used Boston's Best Chimney multiple times. They were in Waltham, now they're in Dedham.”
“I've used Boston's Best Chimney a few times with no problem.”
Quick and easy to work with. Will hire again.
Work went great! We LOVE our new wood stove. Especially during the winter cold snaps.
Wonderful crew, great work! Prompt, attentive folks everything went as planned..
We had a very good experience with Boston's Best Chimney, who took down our old chimney and rebuilt it, adding a new cap. They were prompt and professional, and though we had prepared ourselves for some inevitable noise from the project, there was barely any loud noise the entire day, while we were both working inside remotely with our jobs. They also contacted our adjacent neighbor, whose second floor porch received some debris from the demolition, so that by the time I called him as a courtesy just to let him know, he had already been informed and it was not an issue. The new chimney looks great from the sidewalk, and although we can't climb up onto the roof to inspect closely, we think they did a very careful job. They also completely cleaned up after the project and hosed everything down, which was much appreciated. We thought their price was reasonable and we would definitely hire them again.
Boston's Best Chimney was phenomenal. They were professional from the front office staff to the chimney repair team. The front office called the day before to confirm both the inspection and the work. We needed our water heater exhaust flue relined and a chimney cap replaced. Kevin and his team were top notch. He was knowledgeable and gave great advice. We decided to defer Smoketite and relining the main chimney for a few years since we weren't going to burn any wood in the fire place until my toddler was older. The work came under the quote. I will definitely return to Boston's Best Chimney in a few years when I need the main chimney flue relined or if I need additional work. I give them my highest recommendation.
