Brown's Landscaping & Property Management works out of Centerville, on the Barnstable side of the Cape, and it's the crew people call for lawn care, seasonal cleanups, hedge and garden work, and the occasional dump run. The company describes itself as family-owned, with Oshane (Shane) Brown running the crew, and says it covers Barnstable, Falmouth, Yarmouth, Bourne and Sandwich. What comes up again and again across 43 Google reviews, all five stars, dating from mid-2025 into 2026, is responsiveness: Shane calling back quickly, walking the property before quoting, and showing up on the day he says he will. Several homeowners describe repeat relationships rather than one-off jobs — one Barnstable couple says he's been their landscaper for three years, another mentions three homes on the same block all use him. The specific work described is mostly seasonal grounds maintenance: spring and fall cleanups, leaf and brush removal, hedge and shrub trimming and shaping, weeding and bed cleanup, lawn aeration, seeding and fertilizing, and land grading. One review also credits the crew with tree removal alongside a cleanup job. The reviews read as genuine rather than templated — named customers, specific towns (Mashpee, Chatham, Dennis, Barnstable), and write-ups that vary widely in length and detail. There's no documented complaint or negative review to weigh against that record, and nothing in the six most recent reviews flags a pricing dispute or a missed appointment. The company also lists itself as a Certified Groundsmen affiliate on its own site, though that credential hasn't been independently verified here. Worth knowing before booking: this is a landscaping and grounds-maintenance business, not a licensed home-improvement contractor, so there's no state registration to check — landscaping-only work is exempt from Massachusetts HIC licensing. For anything beyond routine seasonal upkeep, it's worth confirming directly what the crew handles versus subcontracts. Brown's looks like the right call for ongoing lawn care, seasonal cleanups and hedge/bed maintenance across the mid-Cape towns it lists, especially for homeowners who want a crew that shows up reliably and listens to specifics rather than running a standard route.

I hired Btiwn landscaping simply by a flyer out on my door. It is a vacation home ; so when I returned a few weeks later I was pleasantly surprised at how good a job they did. I am now contracting them to do further landscaping jobs for me. Would totally recommend this company. The owner is very professional.
Brown's is helping me revive my challenging lawns in front and back yards. They did the heavy work of aerating and supplying the seed, lime and fertilizer. I did the spreading myself. They will customize what you need for your own situation. They are very reliable, reasonable and knowledgeable. Great company!
The team at Brown’s Landscaping and Property Management did an incredible job with our spring yard cleanup. Definitely will use them again soon!
Brown’s Property Management recently did an amazing job clearing away the fallen pine branches, sticks and branches of all sizes and the leaves from our property in Mashpee. Shane responded right away to my original phone call, promptly visited the property and set a date to get the job done.
So impressed by the quality of work and dedication to an excellent finish. Oshane’s team knocked it out of the park and heard our requests regarding ecological lawn management and perennial cutbacks. We will be working with this team again!
