Brox Industries says it has been making asphalt since 1949, and most of what customers write about it is written from the cab of a truck. A November 2025 reviewer was in and out quickly dumping concrete and asphalt and found the office staff friendly; back in September 2021 another said service was always good and the loader operators get it done. A June 2024 customer named Chris as someone good to work with. The company describes itself as a family-owned asphalt, aggregate, paving, construction and cold-planing business serving Massachusetts and New Hampshire, working from Hooksett and Hudson in New Hampshire and Dracut in Massachusetts. The jobs it turns up in the news for are at that scale: whav.net reported in 2023 that the State of New Hampshire had hired Brox to repave a stretch of Route 125, and a 2008 Lowell Sun piece described crews washing and sifting highway sand and stone. The one bad account is specific. In September 2025 a customer collecting material had some loose asphalt in the truck body and went to dump it; while they did, the mix that had been readied for them was put into another truck and tipped onto the ground. That is one yard-side complaint against three positive ones, on a written record of only four reviews. One more thing on the horizon: a September 2024 Hudson Times report described the town's Conservation Commission reviewing a proposal tied to the company's Greeley Street quarry expansion. This is a producer and a paving contractor built around highway and municipal work rather than driveways. If you are a homeowner, ask whether residential paving is something they take on at all before going further; if you are hauling, two reviewers describe a yard that turns trucks around fast.
“The Hudson Conservation Commission reviewed the most recent proposal for Brox Industries proposal related to their ongoing plan to expand their Greeley Street quarry.”
“The State of New Hampshire hired Brox Industries to repave the portion of Route 125”
“Brox Industries of Rochester wins asphalt excellence honor”
“Brox workers wash and sift the larger highway sand and stone materials apart”
Quick in and out to dump concrete or asphalt. Friendly office staff.
Went to Bronx today to retrieve some materials, happened to forget that we had some loose asphalt in the body had to quickly go over and dump the loose asphalt in the body while doing so they dumped the mix that was being ready for us into another truck and dumped it onto the ground We then went to retrieve the mix that we had ordered and got charged for the mix that they dumped on the ground, therefore asked to have the mix put into our truck was not a fruitful endeavor. The gentleman in the payloader was not very nice about retrieving the excess material that was dumped on the ground. We then ended up with a half truckload of dirt And was screamed at we were hollered at, and he was punching and swinging at the inside of his machine and speeding around and flipping out not a very good day for Brock’s today looks like we’ll be spending the next few hours separating the dirt from our mix if we can
Chris is awesome to work with.
