A 2022 customer said Carefree customized a 10x14 Cottage Shed's colors and materials to match their house and carried out site prep on a sloped site with large rocks and boulders. A 2022 customer who needed a new roof on their barn said Carefree did not put down tar paper and stapled the shingles instead of using roof nails. Its BBB page shows an A+ grade.

I bought 16’X22’ shed from Carefree Small Buildings for $29,000. The sales person spoke of a history of quality. Quality was what I expected for $29,000. The day of installation was disappointing. The workmanship was terrible both on the factory end and the installation end. The quality of the lumber used to build the shed was not good. Some of the lumber is water stained, split, and splintered. The doors are hollow. There was no cleanup. I had to clean up after the installers, sweep the debris from the floors and wash the windows. I complained about the poor workmanship and condition of the wood. Not what I expected for $29,000. I was refunded $1,000 and received a letter of apology. I would rather have had a quality shed.
My Carefree shed is over 10 years old. It looks as good as it did the day it was delivered! Roof, paint, siding, windows and door look great and are functioning perfectly. Todd and Carefree are the best!
We recently purchased a 12x28 shed from Care Free Small Buildings, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. Matt was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, especially when it came to navigating our town's permit approval—he made a stressful step so much easier. On delivery day, the delivery team went above and beyond. They actually called ahead to make sure we were still comfortable with them dropping it off in the rain, which we really appreciated. We also ended up buying a kit for a side ramp. Matt walked us through the exact steps for a DIY install, and it turned out to be incredibly easy thanks to his guidance. We are so happy with our new shed and thrilled to support such an awesome local business. Highly recommend!
Excellent customer service and build quality. Was going to build my own shed until I stopped by Carefree. Just a few more dollars and less headache I bought a shed from them. All the attention to detail that I would have done building it myself. Compared to other shed builders and their quality was not even near Carefree’s build quality. Matt provided me with paint and shingles, not extra cost, for a dovecote coppola that I built.
Beautiful and well-built, quality sheds. Our company painted one today and it came out excellent👌. Also- great people to work with. Very friendly and accommodating.
