Carmel Movers has been booking moves out of Boston and Framingham for about two decades, by its own account a women-owned, family-run outfit built around everyday local and long-distance jobs -- packing, storage, and household moving for people relocating within Massachusetts or out of state. The volume behind that history is real: 86 reviews stretch back to 2008 across six different sources, and the tone across Google (4.8 from 166 ratings), Angi (4.4 from 44), and an A+ BBB profile leans strongly positive. A professional relocation-management firm recently named Carmel among the crews it trusts with client moves, and another recent review singles out a bilingual crew that handled an elderly parent's relocation with patience and Spanish-language communication. One repeat customer put it simply: if they have to move again, they're calling Carmel again. That said, the same long history includes a recurring minority of sharper complaints. Angi's reviews describe billing surprises -- overcharging, hidden fees -- alongside reports of items damaged or broken in transit, often enough to read as a pattern rather than a one-off. Separately, a moving-complaint forum carries a report describing a delayed interstate delivery. None of that erases the broader record, but it's worth asking upfront for a written, itemized estimate and clarifying how the company handles damage claims and payment surcharges before signing anything. Carmel reads like a solid pick for an in-state or interstate household move where established local roots and price matter, especially if language accessibility is a factor. Get the estimate in writing, ask directly about their damage-claim process, and confirm the final price before the truck shows up.

As a mission driven professional move management company, it's important for us to work with companies who treat our clients to the level of care we expect them to. Carmel Movers proved early on that they are hands down a great moving company. The team is reliable, always prompt, are easy to work with, are hard working and incredibly considerate with our client's possessions (most important!) . We've been referring all of our clients, and our non-clients, to Carmel because we know that Vivo and Jen will take care of them. It's rare for me to give a company 5 stars, I am the type of person who always feels like there is room for improvement. But over the last 4 years that I've personally been working with Carmel, I'm confident in my 5 star review and recommendation. You won't be disappointed.

Carmel Mover's really came through for me. We had this giant bookcase that had to be moved to the basement. They were seasoned pros and got it done in less than an hour. This is the 2nd time I used them and would use them again when I need any thing moved. Thanks!
