Gentle Giant Moving Company is a Greater Boston mover, and a recent Google reviewer said Gerry and Rooty came out to crane a piano out of an attic apartment in Cambridge for the reviewer's stepdad. That reviewer said the piano went out with ease and that they offered to crane out the bigger furniture pieces too, so the movers didn't have to navigate an extremely tight staircase. A 2022 r/massachusetts commenter described a quote for a one-bedroom move two blocks down the street and said they ended up having friends help. A 2024 r/boston commenter wrote that the company charged $2,000 and broke something. A recent r/boston commenter wrote that the company "is not cheap." A recent 1-star Google reviewer complained of hidden fees, called the company horrible people to deal with, and wrote: "They hold your furniture hostage in storage until you pay all their hidden fees."

Erik, Finn, and Andrew, make Gentle Giant what it is. They went above and beyond to make my move happen. The city of Cambridge forgot to post the parking permits. They parked safely and walked the extra distance and got me in my apt. no time and under my total estimate. Hurrah and Go Gentle for your next move!
Again The GG does not disappoint in fact they “exceed expectations” and are a cut above the rest. not only do they pack move and unload professionally, but they are polite, proactive, thorough and work extremely hard. Erikas, Mantas, Shawn were exceptional. Took every direction without a blink of an eye. Asked questions when they were unsure about something and provided outstanding service. I couldn’t be happier with the move.
