Carrano's Railings & Welding LLC

Carrano's Railings & Welding describes itself as a Hamden-based ornamental iron shop that fabricates iron, aluminum and stainless railings, gates and fencing for residential and commercial customers. A recent customer said that from the first call, Mike Jr described every detail of how the company could make a pair of outside railings for their new stairs. Those railings came in a bronze tone and were done in two weeks. A recent customer also got help fixing a piece of gym equipment they had assembled wrong. A 2026 customer said the company refurbished part of a historical fence and kept the original designs. A 2025 customer said Mike, the owner, helped design custom railings for their front steps and offered a huge selection of color options. That 2025 customer also wrote that he has his own powder coat paint facility and called the prices very competitive. Repairs come up as an option too: a 2025 customer said Mike suggested a repair instead of a replacement because only the legs of the railing were rotted out, kept it for six days and had it reinstalled first thing in the morning. A 2025 reviewer said Mike worked with them to design a railing for their steps and rushed to install it before a snowstorm. A 2024 customer hired Mike to design and install new black railings on a brick retention wall in front of the house. A 2023 customer said Mike personally installed railings for a front landing redone with stone and bluestone steps, after a visit to his shop.
