In a November 2024 Google review, a customer wrote that Catamount Construction replaced their roof and skylights that fall, and that every member of the crew took their shoes off each time they came through the door. Greg, who came over from Grand Isle to quote the job, called several times when a hurricane down south snarled the skylight supply, laid out contingency plans, found the skylights locally and finished on time. The same reviewer said Marilyn, on the ground crew, kept the place clean and was kind to their 3-year-old son. Catamount Construction Consultants is based in Alburgh, Vermont; its website describes new construction and restoration and repair work in the commercial sector. In June 2024 a Google reviewer wrote that Alan responded in a timely manner, fit them into his schedule quickly, and that his crew did their roof. A June 2023 customer described a roof replacement as fast, efficient and cleaned up afterward. In August 2022 one customer said their roof and siding were both done within 2 weeks of contacting the company, with the yard left cleaner than before, and another, on their second job with Catamount (roof and siding), called the quote very competitive. In October 2024 a Google reviewer wrote that workers came to take pictures for a quote, Alan reached out three weeks later to say he hadn't forgotten them, and after six weeks no quote had arrived. An October 2023 reviewer wrote that Alan twice assured them of an estimate and never followed up. Google shows 4.4 stars from 14 ratings.

We are so thrilled and relieved to have found Catamount Construction. They replaced our roof and skylights this fall and the entire process, from beginning to end was amazing. Greg, who came over from Grand Isle (he's a local) to give us a quote was respectful, patient, and helpful. The team who came to do the work were among the most hard working and courteous folks I've encountered. One small but very impactful example of this: unlike any contractor I've ever hosted at my house they all TOOK THEIR SHOES OFF every time they came through our door. Marilyn, who was working ground crew, kept the place super clean and running smoothly and she was very kind to my 3 year old son. It just felt like having a big group of respectful friends and neighbors doing the job for us. With the hurricane down south, there was an issue with the supply chain for our skylights. Greg called me a few times keeping me updated on his progress to track them down and provided a menu of potential contingency plans if we weren't able to get the lights in time. He was able to find the skylights locally and get the job done on time without any issues. I really appreciated being kept in the loop throughout the process and all the work the team put in. Unlike some other roofing companies, these guys are a small operation and looking to please. I highly recommend. I'll be using them for any other jobs. Our new skylights and roof look amazing and I'm thrilled they were able to squeeze us in before the winter.
Waited 6 weeks but no Alan. He sent out workers to take pictures to give quote.(we live 3 miles from eachother) then after not getting the qoute for 3 weeks, alan reached out to say he hadnt forgotten about us, 3 weeks after that and no still no qoute. 6 weeks total and had to find a company that respects humans enough to call them back. All we have is our word, when you tell somebody youare going to do something/anything you should be human enough to communicate if you cant do it. ghosting is a sign of (fill in the blank)
Alan is friendly and responds in a timely manner. He was able to fit me in his schedule pretty quickly. His crew came and did my roof and they were great! Very professional and they did a great job. I would highly recommend Catamount Construction.
Despite being assured twice by Alan that he would provide an estimate, he never followed up. That was over a month ago.
