CFW Electric is an electrical contractor whose website lists residential, commercial and industrial electrical service, fire alarm systems and Generac backup generators. The company says it has been in business 16 years. A recent customer says Travis came at the appointed time to discuss the job, Candace provided a written estimate, and Travis returned with the parts and tools he needed, completed the work in a timely manner and cleaned up after himself. A recent customer says the installation was done efficiently and looks good, and that communications and the details of the quote were accurate. A 2025 customer who bought a property in St Johnsbury said a good part of its electrical work had been updated by CFW Electric before they reached out for more work. That 2025 customer said Travis and the team took the time to explain what they would be doing and called the price fair. A 2025 reviewer said he figured out that their problem came from the power company lines outside rather than their wiring, then called the power company and waited for them to arrive. A 2024 customer said they arrived the day after the call and had everything taken care of within an hour. A 2022 customer said they had worked with Travis on numerous projects at their new house. A 2022 customer who had a whole house generator installed said the price was on the high side and the Generac generator broke down after 8 hours of operation. That 2022 customer said a tech spent two days on it, then tried replacing the battery after talking with Generac, which solved the problem in minutes, and that they still received a large bill from CFW the next week. The same 2022 customer said that after the generator stopped working again, CFW told them it would not be coming out again for any reason relating to the Generac. Its Vermont electrician licence, EM-04742, is active under Bradley M Fontaine.
The team at CFW was excellent to work with. They were responsive, timely, and accurate in their communications as well as the details of the quote. The installation was done efficiently and looks good! I am so appreciative of all of them for their hard work and excellent service.
Travis from CFW Electric showed up at the appointed time and date to discuss what we wanted done. He was pleasant, thorough and took time to answer all our questions. Candace then provided a written estimate for the work and we scheduled a date/time to have it done. Travis again showed up with all the parts and tools he needed and completed the work in a timely manner. He then cleaned up after himself, ran us thru what he did and answered all of our questions. We highly recommend CFW Electric to anyone in the northern VT area needing competent and qualified electricians.
THIS GROUP IS EXCEPTIONAL! I recently purchased a property in St Johnsbury and a good part of the electrical work had been updated by CFW Electric. So, I reached out to them to get more work done and this have been nothing short of exceptional. Holly in the office is always a pleasure to work with and Travis and the whole team that comes out each time ALWAYS takes the time to explain what they will be doing. They do great work at a fair price, and always leave my property is better shape then they found it. Hands down the best option in the St Johnsbury area!
Great service! He came and figured out that out problem was not coming from our wiring but from the power company lines outside. He asked for our account number and called them to let them know what the problem was, then he waited in his vehicle for them to arrive and made sure he explained what he found and that they did the work! We will call with any future needs for sure!!
These guys are great, they arrived the day after we called for an appointment and had everything taken care of within an hour. 🕺🏽
