Chimney and Duct Experts

Called “Chimey Experts” for a basement wood stove I needed re-connected to my chimney, as well as new fire panels for my upstairs firebox. Their tech came out and gave me a range of options, everything from connecting the wood stove with either single wall or double wall pipe, I even asked about replacing the entire chimney pipe with new cap, etc. He said these were all possible and he would give me quotes for each so I can decide. He also inspected my firebox upstairs and agreed I needed new fire panels which he would quote me on aswell. Fast forward one week and I had not received his quote so I called and was told they would have a quote emailed to me by end of day. Forward another week and still nothing so I called again and was told I would get a call by the end of the day. I did get that call, however this time the lady on the phone said they do not do that type of work and only do chimney caps? I was thoroughly confused cause that’s not what the tech said, and he seemed pretty knowledgeable (which is why I gave two stars instead of one) but ultimately it was a huge waste of time so I’m writing this so others can avoid the same time-waste I went through. Had to call another chimney company and am now waiting another week for them to come out and consult/inspect. Not sure what this company does but it isn’t a “variety” of chimney services.

My husband and I were extremely pleased with Steve. From his first visit he proved to be quite knowledgeable about the work he would need to do to achieve the results we wanted. We were impressed with his professionalism and warm personality. He was courteous, prompt and answered all the questions we had. Upon completion of the job Steve showed us pictures of the new sleeve he installed and the new topper he replaced along with pictures of the connection to our boiler/furnace. My husband was pleased to see that Steve cleaned up after himself and that he was so quick especially since he was working alone. My husband also said “give this guy a raise!” Thank you Steve!!! Steve and John were excellent. They took great care in installing our new pellet stove and fireplace screen, in addition to placing our new liners to make sure everything is functional. They left everything nice and clean. Very happy with their work!
