Two chimneys rebuilt from the roof level up: that is the job a recent customer hired Chimney Safe of CT for, and that customer said Saul gave a clear explanation of the rework and recommendations to improve longevity. A real estate professional living in New Canaan wrote recently that Saul came out the same day, cleaned the chimney, installed a new stainless-steel liner, vacuumed the fireplace and completed the chimney and masonry work in one day. That customer said he came back a week later to install an extra-wide custom chimney cap, never tried to upsell and charged a reasonable price. On HomeAdvisor the company shows 4.9 stars from 43 ratings. A 2025 customer said Saul replaced flashing on two chimneys on top of a three-story house, spent 8 hours on the roof, came back the next day to finish and cleaned up debris on the lawn and porch roofs. A 2025 reviewer wrote that Saul rebuilt the chimney from the roof up and put a custom cap on it, and that they no longer had to worry about water in the attic. A 2025 customer said Saul and his workers cleaned and lined the furnace flue, repaired the chimney and replaced the chimney cap within the customer's budget. A 2024 customer whose chimney was cracked and dropping pieces of brick said Saul gave a quote for a substantial rebuild, and that two roofing contractors at the house the next day commented on the quality of the finished chimney. A 2023 reviewer wrote that the top part of the chimney and the top part of both flues were rebuilt, a stainless steel liner was installed down the burner flue, the front steps were repointed and a concrete corner of the rear porch was repaired. A 2023 customer praised a pellet stove cleaning but said he was not qualified to fix the stove, and did not. A 2022 customer said the chimney burned hotter and cleaner afterward but found the pricing a little steep for services he said needed to be done, while calling the chimney sweep reasonable.
I’m a real estate professional living in New Canaan, so I deal with contractors regularly and do my research before hiring anyone. I had a great experience with Saul from Chimney Safe of CT. He was able to come out the same day, inspected everything thoroughly, and gave me a very fair and straightforward quote. Saul is very knowledgeable about his work. He cleaned my chimney, installed a new stainless-steel liner, vacuumed my fireplace, and completed the chimney and masonry work all in one day. He then came back a week later to install an extra-wide custom chimney cap, which is not easy to find elsewhere. The entire job was done cleanly, efficiently, and professionally. He came on one of the hottest days of the year in August and spent the entire day working, much of it on the roof, to make sure everything was done properly. He was friendly, honest, professional, and never tried to upsell me. What more can you ask for? These days, when everything seems more expensive and many contractors are quoting extremely high prices, it’s refreshing to find someone who does excellent work and charges a reasonable price. I am so happy to find him. I plan to hire him again for some patio masonry work as well in the future. I highly recommend Saul.
I had two chimneys that required rebuilding from the roof level up. Saul provided a clear explanation of the necessary rework and recommendations to improve longevity. I was impressed with his knowledge, workmanship and attention to detail. I highly recommend him and would gladly do business with him again.
Cleaned my chimney and fixed my fire place damper, told we us everything we needed to know about my fireplace and very professional.
Saul is amazing. He replaced flashing for us on 2 chimneys on top of our 3 story house. Much less expensive than 3 other quotes. And he is such a hard worker. Spent 8 hours nonstop on the roof and even tried to finish after dark with a flashlight! Came back the next day and finished. Carefully cleaned up debris on the lawn and on porch roofs. A real expert and professional.
Saul is honest, reliable, and highly skilled. He rebuilt my chimney from the roof up and put a custom cap on it. I no longer have to worry about water in my attic.
