CM&B has stayed in the same family's hands since 1992, when Kevin Puopolo founded it as a construction management firm; his son Tim Puopolo was recently named president, marking the second generation running the company. Based in Beverly, with a second office in New York, it describes its own work as pre-construction, construction management, and program management for commercial clients — automotive, grocery, hospitality, retail, and industrial projects. The public reviews that exist are thin but uniformly positive: a small handful of ratings on Google and a single review on the directory site Kukun, both landing at 5 stars with nothing negative turning up anywhere else. That's a good sign, but it's a small sample to lean on for a company that says it's been operating for over three decades. Every third-party mention of CM&B — from industry news to business directories — describes commercial and institutional work, not private homes: retail buildouts, industrial facilities, hospitality projects. Anyone finding them through a home-contractor search should ask directly whether residential jobs are even something they take on, since nothing in its public presence points to house-scale work. CM&B reads as an established, family-run outfit with a long history and a clean if sparse reputation — a reasonable call for a commercial buildout, less clearly a fit for a home renovation. Confirm upfront that they handle residential-scale projects before going further.

This company just built the new shake shack store at Wrentham premium outlets. I work at the Gap, which is right next-door. I would just like to say that this project was very well managed. The job super was professional, nice and always made sure that construction wasn’t interfering with our business. All the members of the construction team from start to finish were also very courteous. Anytime they felt they were in the way they would do their best to accommodate us. You built a beautiful store!
