CMC Hardscape Landscape is a Quincy-area contractor offering landscaping, snow removal, lawn maintenance, walkways, patios, masonry, pavers, and tile and flooring installation. The company reports 35 years in business, and its listed work spans outdoor projects as well as ceramic, porcelain, natural-stone, and vinyl or linoleum flooring. In reviews dated 2019 and 2020, homeowners described patio, driveway, shower, tile, and small-job work. Several praised timely starts, quick completion, communication, cleanup, and value; one homeowner said CMC quoted $800 against a competing $1,800 quote, while another described a patio crew that arrived as agreed and repaired surrounding damage. The written history is mixed. A 2020 review reported chips, oversized joints, rushed work, and cleanup concerns on a high-end job, and another said an unfinished project was followed by repeated delays in returning to fix problems. A 2019 homeowner nevertheless described a prompt start, quick completion, and satisfaction with a shower and tile replacement. Prospective customers should confirm the precise scope, finish standard, schedule for corrections, and whether the requested work is outdoor construction or flooring installation.
I got a price of 1800$ from Q construction? Then CMC came and quoted me 800$ for the same small job. So CMC did a great job and finished on time.
Corey and his crew finished my side patio. They started when agreed, arrived on time and was receptive to changes along the way. During the project, he was onsite and made suggestions to improve the appearance of the project. Once the project was completed, they cleaned up the area and repaired damages made. I would highly recommend them. CMC baby all the way.....
For the high price CMC is not the quality work I was looking for. They are great for mid level quality work but not for high end jobs. Large chips and dings were all over the finished edging/trim and jam pieces. There were jam pieces that were cut short resulting in far too big of a caulking and grout joint for proper satisfactory work. CMC rushes their work resulting in skipping important steps. CMC is careless about maintaining the cleanliness of the homeowners surrounding home. I d like to see them pay attention to detail more. I think they are terrific for mid level quality work such as a rental unit or outside work or brand new construction. Overall for my project not thrilled with the quality for price on my high end BROOKLINE job. I will admit cmc was reasonable on fixing mistakes but there were more than I d like to have seen.
Job was not finished properly but now cannot get them to come a fix. Yes we have been living in a pandemic but there have been too many empty promises to come back and fix the problems. Tired of waiting and tired of the excuses.
We had water pockets under our Bath Fitter shower liner. Corey and his team ripped out the liner, the old tile and the tub down to the studs and installed new cement board, subway tile and grout. They were available to start right away and got the job done quickly. We were very satisfied with the work.
