Colonial Chem-Dry

In a June 2022 Google review, a customer who first called Colonial Chem-Dry because puppies had accidents on the carpet wrote that afterward "you would never no I had pets," and that Phil had cleaned their carpets at least three times. Phil, that customer said, explained exactly what he was going to do and the cost, with no pressure. Colonial Chem-Dry is a Providence, Rhode Island carpet and upholstery cleaner; its HomeAdvisor profile says it has been in business for over 37 years. A February 2022 customer used its pick-up and drop-off service for area rugs. In a May 2019 HomeAdvisor review, a customer said the crew was on schedule, the carpet looked great, and gave a shout-out to Manny. In August 2018 a technician listened to a customer's concerns about a stained carpet area and explained how he would handle it, and the customer said the rest of the carpet looked great. An April 2018 customer said the technician was careful not to track mud on new floors and explained that adding a leather chair would be expensive and could not be done that day; the customer was pleased with how the couch looked. In July 2018 a customer wrote that they were quoted $140 but "when the guy showed up he wanted $300 plus," and that the crew was late for a 10am appointment. An October 2018 reviewer waiting for an 8-to-10 a.m. slot got a 9:40 call saying the technician would arrive by 10:30 because his first job was an hour away in CT, and a promised reminder email and follow-up call did not happen. A May 2018 customer said the company called on a Friday to move a Monday appointment to Wednesday. In August 2024 a one-star Google review said only: "Don't think they are in business."
