That breadth is genuinely useful for a property you want one crew to handle year-round — and it also means this is not a landscaping-only business, so ask about Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration before the masonry or excavation work starts. Be clear-eyed about how thin the public record is. Five reviews, all five stars, all on one platform, and the company has been hired through Thumbtack twice. Only the two most recent are marked as Thumbtack hires; the other three arrived within nine days of each other in October 2025 and read as short praise from repeat clients rather than verified jobs. That is not evidence of anything improper — the bodies differ, they name the owner, and two describe ongoing maintenance relationships — but it is a very small base, and a 16-year trading claim sits oddly against a review history that starts in October 2025. Right call for a homeowner who wants one crew for seasonal maintenance, cleanups and plowing and is willing to do their own diligence. Before booking: ask Elder for two or three local addresses you can drive past, get proof of liability insurance, and put scope and price in writing — especially if the job includes hardscape, masonry or digging.
