Highlights
- Professional and thorough — explains issues before starting work
- BBB A+ rating — no complaints on file
D.J. Richard Electric works out of Scituate, wiring homes and businesses across the South Shore. Its own site points to residential, commercial and industrial wiring, lighting, and generator installations as the core of what it does. It's been around a long time: the company says it has provided electrical contracting services to Massachusetts and the South Shore for over 30 years, and its Better Business Bureau profile lists the business as operating since 1983, with an A+ rating and no complaints on file. The two reviews on record both lean positive. In a 2025 review, a homeowner described owner Dana Richard as professional and thorough, taking time to explain the issue before starting work. An earlier 2021 review called the service fast and said the crew "can handle anything." Google shows 4.8 stars, though from a small handful of ratings. For South Shore homeowners looking for a long-running local shop for everyday electrical work — lighting, wiring, generator hookups — the reviews on file skew entirely positive and the BBB record backs that up.
