Dave's Custom Painting paints house exteriors and stains decks, and it says on HomeAdvisor that it has over 18 years of experience. A 2023 customer said Dave painted a rental house in Woolwich, turning it from blue to light gray with two coats on the trim and siding in one week. A 2023 customer said David and his crew stained a 2,500 square-foot deck and pressure washed mildewed areas of the siding, with the job completed in four days. A 2023 customer said Dave gave a competitive estimate right away for painting the exterior trim and completed the work within a tight schedule. A 2023 customer on Westport Island said Dave came to the property the day after a quote request and finished the paint job a couple of days after starting. A 2026 customer said the company took a 50% deposit from them and either never showed up or never finished. A 2024 customer said Dave never showed up for a first appointment at their home and then called to postpone the second one.
Took a 50% deposit from me and other customers. Either never showed up or never finished. Look elsewhere for a painter.
I saw a lawn sign with Dave’s Custom Painting listed. I called the number and my call was promptly returned. We set up a time for Dave to come to my home. He never showed up. We touched base again and set up another appointment. He called up to postpone again. I’ve never been inconvenienced by a painter before and I’ll never be inconvenienced by this company again.
David and his crew were incredibly thorough. We hired them to stain our 2,500 sqft deck, and when they pressure washed the deck and railings, they went above and beyond by pressure washing mildewed areas of our siding. They were professional and very polite. Our huge job was completed in just 4 days (2 other companies quoted more than a week's time). Our deck is now protected with a beautiful semi-transparent stain that makes the wood grain shine. What a transformation! Highly recommend. Here are "before" and "after" photos:
Dave has painted a few of my houses. Recently he painted a rental house in Woolwich and transformed my blue house into a clean crisp light gray house. M and his crew did a great job with prep work and apply two coats to the trim and siding and we’re in and out of there in one week! Highly recommend
I highly recommend Dave's Custom Painting! Dave was great to work with. He responded quickly to my inquiry to paint the exterior trim of my house, gave me a competitive estimate right away and was able to complete the work within my tight schedule. He was friendly and professional and the house looks wonderful! It couldn't have gone smoother! I highly recommend him and have actually scheduled him for another painting job; this time interior.
